Beta Omega Chapter
was chartered on October 20, 1920, in Kansas City, Missouri—making it the second oldest graduate chapter in the sorority. Originally known as Lambda Graduate Chapter, it was renamed Beta Omega in 1922 and has since been a cornerstone of service, sisterhood, and leadership in the Greater Kansas City community.
For more than a century, Beta Omega has advanced Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission through scholarships, youth development, civic engagement, and community service. With a proud legacy of impactful programs and influential leadership, the chapter continues to serve all mankind with excellence and purpose.
International Programs
Our Chapter proudly implements Alpha Kappa Alpha's 2026–2030 International Program under the theme Championing Service. Empowering Sisterhood. Transforming the World. — one Signature Program, eight Targets, and unlimited impact, all designed to uplift families, advance equity, and strengthen communities.
Through the AKA Foster the Future: From Here to Hope Signature Program and eight strategic Targets spanning education, family support, health and well-being, economic growth, environmental action, arts and culture, global outreach, and undergraduate impact, Beta Omega mobilizes sisterhood and community partnerships to extend AKA's legacy of leadership and "Service to All Mankind," ensuring meaningful outreach and measurable growth within the Greater Kansas City area.
